Of course.
How many of you have heard the phrase:
"Good grades, a social life, sleep-
Pick two."
To be honest, it's not true! Granted, you have to learn time management skills and perhaps make a sacrifice or two, but you can have good grades and make friends AND have quality time with your pillow. It. Is. Possible.
At Tech you learn all about balance. And stress relief. You learn how to have fun and you learn how to work hard--sometimes both at one time. Multi-tasking: (n) the carrying out of two or more tasks at the same time by one person. It's a skill you can put on your resume. (;
So speaking of having fun---
Last week, my friends and I went to T-Night. This is a freshman-directed event that teaches students all about traditions at Tech. One tradition is the Ramblin' Reck, the car featured in the photo above. Beware, Freshman, you CANNOT touch the Reck. If you do, we'll lose to u[sic]ga. However, my friends and I (being sophmores), we go to touch the Reck! It's a dream to live for. (: Anyway, T-Night was fun, with lots of giveaways, free food, and then a presentation about traditions in Bobby Dodd Stadium which culminated in a fireworks show. Fun times.

On Thursday, we dressed in White&Gold and cheered our Yellow Jackets to victory on the gridiron. Sting 'em! Football games are exciting times on campus--be sure to experience one. You'll feel a rush of school spirit. (:
We arrived at the game early for fantastic seats and had the pleasure of watching the Yellow Jackets warm up.
In other news, here's a few pictures I owe you:
The Clough Undergraduate Living Commons
and the Bank of America building, more widely known as "The Pencil Building!"
The Pencil Building is a familiar face on campus. From pretty much anywhere you can divine your location if you see the Pencil Building. When you're off campus and you see the Pencil Building, you know you're heading the right direction back to Tech. When you enter Atlanta and see the Pencil Building, you know you're almost home.
Cheers! Kyle Marie Jacobsen
As always, let me know if you have any questions!!!! (If you're interested in attending Tech, an incoming Tech student, a transfer student, international student, freshman, any and all... We're here to help guide you!)
